As big as the transfer portal is in college athletics, it’s almost even more significant when coaches switch jobs in NCAA men’s basketball.
Some of the biggest programs in men’s college basketball (e.g. Villanova and Virginia) will have new coaches on their sidelines for the 2025-26 season. So to help you keep track of who is going where and what vacancies are still available, we will keep an updated tracker of the coaching carousel in men’s college hoops.
The first portion of this article will highlight the high-major programs while the “other notable changes” section will cover the rest.
